Wow. I can’t believe I’m writing a blog post for our very last wedding of 2020. What a year! And dear Brittany and Kevin’s elopement portrait session at Huntsville Botanical Garden I can’t think of a better way to wave goodbye to 2020. Their journey has been filled with so many unexpected twists and turns.
Even just getting to this moment has been a total adventure! In August, a torrential hurricane rain postponed their elopement session plans with us. Our second attempt in October was also a total washout, thanks to another rainy weekend. Next came a schedule conflict. And then, finally, on the 4th date we had scheduled, Brittany and Kevin knocked it out of the park with their sweet elopement celebration portraits!
Thanksgiving weekend brought the colder weather more typical of November than those balmy 70 degree weekends we’d been enjoying. Brittany and Kevin handled it like absolute champs! Not only did they brave the evening cold with the best attitudes, but they had us laughing our way through the Garden!
So. much. fun! That’s what these two are. Many of their pictures feature at least one of them laughing out loud, and I think that’s a perfect representation of them and how they’ve met every challenge head on to get to this point.
2020 was chock full of unexpected challenges, just like Brittany and Kevin’s journey together, but we’re going to make it. Their story of embracing the little victories, holding on even tighter, and filling the little moments with joy make an ending to the 2020 story I love to see.
