I was browsing my Instagram stories one afternoon and came across one that really caught my attention!
Our bride Katherine posted about their marriage vision statement and how excited they were to have it hanging where they can see it daily.
Ahh! I asked Katherine if they would mind if I shared it with you, and she sweetly said yes. What an impact it would have if we all made a marriage vision statement and created a daily reminder!
In business, one of the first things you do is create a vision statement. A vision statement reflects the heart of what your business stands for. The impact it will have on the world, what your values are, and what principles will guide your business decisions. It’s the reason you’re doing what you’re doing.
A visible vision statement is so powerful when it comes to making those day to day decisions.
Katherine says, “We are so thankful our marriage counselor asked us to write a vision statement. We read Praying Circles Around Your Marriage, which helped us in the writing process. We made it into a canvas, which is now hanging in our breakfast nook in our house. It is the focal point of our kitchen and dining area. We absolutely love it!”
I love it too, Katherine! And what I love just as much is that they chose to print it and put it on display.
When we talk to our couples about their pictures, we share stories about how much we love our printed pictures. We have a canvas collection above our living room couch with pictures from our photo session in Verona, Italy. We have a canvas collection in our dining room from Prince Edward Island.
Every time we walk past those pictures, we get to relive those memories over and over. When you see something, you remember. It stays alive. That’s why you print your wedding pictures. And that’s why you should print your marriage vision statement!
How about you? Are you willing to make a commitment to each other and your marriage? Will you print it out so you can see the reminder every single day?
I’m challenging myself and I’m challenging you to make that happen!
Marriage can be hard, but it’s worth fighting for.
*hugs*

Thirty-eight years of marriage & never thought of this before. Good food for thought.
It’s something that most of us have never thought to do. Such a great example, though!
