Italy travel tips // Lake Como // Huntsville Photographers explore the world

I can’t believe this is the last post in our Italy wanderlust series! After we got back from our trip, we shared the highlight post from our time in Italy. It’s the short and sweet version of our time!  We later shared even more of our favorite memories from Milan, Cinque Terra and Pisa, Florence, Tuscany and Siena, Verona (including a photo shoot of our own!), the Bolzano region of northern Italy, and our time in Austria/Liechtenstien/Switzerland.

We ended our trip with a relaxing afternoon at Lake Como. This will be a short, relaxing blog post because we did our best to slow down, rest, and soak in some quiet time. Next on our agenda was a full day of traveling back to the States (you know those 9 hour overseas flights!). We looked forward to this rest time before getting on the plane!

Lake Como, Italy

It’s easy to understand why Italians, celebrities, and everyone in between choose Lake Como as a vacation destination. What a great little seaside village! There are plenty of shops and restaurants to keep you occupied, but the best part was the relaxing atmosphere. Everything was slow paced. People sat by the waterside, wandered through the streets, and ate gelato. We did all of the above, and it was perfect.

We even tried to spend more time connecting with each other, watching the scenery, and holding hands than we did taking pictures. With all the beautiful moments, though, it was impossible not to grab a few!

Enjoy a glimpse into our relaxing afternoon at Lake Como!

This just made us laugh! The lavender game is strong with this one!

We stopped for an afternoon bruschetta and cappuccino at Nilus. We ate outside on the water’s edge, and it was perfect. It was one of our favorite memories of our time at Lake Como! We soaked in the moments just being together.

Our table was under this pavilion.

And this was our view!

We couldn’t end without a picture of our Fiat Panda! This tiny little car took us on so many adventures! Up to the Alpe di Siusi, through the winding roads of the Swiss Alps, and across miles of Tuscany. We loved all the memories we made in our little “Baby Panda”!

And that, my friends, is the end of our Palmero Italiano adventure. We drove back to Milan that evening, dropped off Baby Panda, went into the city for our last meal of pasta and gelato, and caught a few hours of sleep before heading to the airport. Getting to the airport was an adventure, but we made it on our flight!

We hope you loved traveling through pieces of Italy, Austria, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland with us. This adventure was one of our favorites yet!

Baby Palmer is going to be our next (and sweetest!) adventure, but we won’t be able to stay home forever! Here’s to a lifetime of adventures, exploring, and teaching our little boy that there’s a big world out there!

*hugs*
