Summer Wedding at Creekside Plantation in Mooresville // Wedding Photographers in Huntsville, Alabama

Believe it or not, this was the first time we’ve photographed a wedding at Creekside Plantation in the beautiful Mooresville! We’ve been to almost every other venue around, but Creekside has been mysteriously elusive until this point. We would have been thrilled to photograph sweet Abbey and Heath at any venue in the world, but celebrating their wedding at Creekside Plantation was like having extra chocolate sauce on your ice cream sundae.

We photographed Abbey’s bridal session around the town of Mooresville a few weeks ago, so we already had an idea of what a stunningly beautiful bride Abbey was going to be. Her mom also won our hearts, and we were so excited to for Abbey and Missy to experience all the sweet mother/daughter wedding day moments together!

Favorite Wedding Day Memories

I honestly have so many favorite memories from this day, and one of them was Abbey and Heath’s first look. This was the first time we met Heath! Joel met him during the guys’ getting ready photos, but I joked afterward with Abbey that this was my “first look” with Heath, too! You could feel the joy and delight radiating from their faces and their hearts as they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day.

This bridal party was epic! We had the best time with them from start to finish. The girls were so kind and sweet and adorable. The guys were hilarious but still managed to listen to instructions amid the laughter. They also all pulled off the GQ post remarkably well. I was super impressed.

{Side note – we’re officially smitten with Harding University people. This is our 5th or 6th wedding with a Harding University couple, and every single one of them has been such a joy to be around. Plus they have amazing families! So – if you’re a Harding person and need a wedding photographer, come find us!!}

As guests arrived at the reception, they reported driving through “a monsoon” to get there. Joel kept an eye on the weather map throughout the day and said that we were literally surrounded by storms. Mooresville stood its ground in a tiny little pocket of beautiful sunshine, and it didn’t rain a drop until we were packing up our car to go home. What a wonderful gift God gave us for this wedding day!

The Coffee Bar

This blog post absolutely wouldn’t be complete without a shoutout to Abbey and Heath’s coffee bar! The Proverbial Cup came in from Nashville and treated the guests (and two very excited photographers) to a selection of delicious coffee drinks. Between the two of us, we tested out the vanilla latte, nitro cold brew, and decaf ice coffee. #research
