Wedding Inspiration // Huntsville Alabama Wedding Vendors // Royal Wedding

Our Royal Wedding Inspiration Shoot is a blog post that I’ve been incredibly excited to share, and I can’t believe the day is finally here!!

It’s a huge honor to have this inspiration shoot published internationally in over 50 countries. Now that the magazines have hit the stands (you can find it locally here in Huntsville at Barnes & Noble and Books-A-Million), we can officially share these images with you!

Royal Wedding Inspiration Shoot: The Story

This story began over a year ago with a phone call from Erica with Helping Hand Parties and Weddings one December day. She shared some suuuuper exciting news about being chosen as 1 of 10 wedding planners in the US and Canada to submit wedding inspiration to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as they planned their wedding day.

Not only would it be published in a London based magazine, Destination Weddings and Honeymoons…the pictures themselves would be presented to Prince Harry and Meghan as they planned their wedding day! The thought of the royal couple browsing through our pictures for ideas is pretty crazy. I mean, just the thought of them looking at our pictures is crazy!

We can just drop the mike now. Eeek! This girl was already swooning before Erica even told me what she wanted! I love all things fairytale, Cinderella, and royalty. It took a little juggling since we were about to leave for 3 weeks in Hawaii, Erica was headed out for a ski trip, Christmas was just around the corner, and we had to have the images submitted in just over a month.

Elegant and Unique: A Wedding Fit For Royalty

But we did it, and it couldn’t have been more magical! Erica pulled together an incredible team of vendors that showcased talent worthy of a princess. She’s amazing, the vendors were amazing, and all the well thought out little details of this shoot really make it something spectacular.

Every detail touched on something that was meaningful to the couple. Erica wanted to use a garden inspired feel, which made Huntsville Botanical Garden the perfect venue to choose for this shoot. While keeping things very elegant and sophisticated, Erica also wanted to bring in several creative and unique ideas. That meant we got to work with things like rolled ice cream, ice sculptures, a live artist, and an aisle runner designed with the names of people the couple loved.

The inspiration palette was soft and ethereal with blush pinks, ivory, peach, and greenery. Pops of gold were infused throughout all the details, and Waterford crystal accentuated the table display.

The Dream Team

Every single vendor deserves a huge shout out! Not only did they smash it with creativity and execution, but they pulled it all together record time over the holidays.

Erica and her team (hey, Lynn and Leigh!) were amazing. Simply amazing. The ideas they came up with were brilliant. Lisa Akins with Sacred Stone created a masterpiece with her florals. Frances with Ledgewood Fine Stationery designed a spectacular paper suite that was definitely fit for royalty. She also made these thank you notes specifically designed to fit on each plate. So fun! A shout out to Suzanne Cunningham‘s gorgeous calligraphy and Magnolia Postage for the vintage stamps.

If you’ve never seen one of Bob with Couture Cakes‘ creations, now’s your chance! It’s probably the most breath-taking cake we’ve ever seen. {Fun story: we had a chance to photograph several of Bob’s masterpieces for a magazine feature many years ago. How neat to come around again and photograph one of his cakes for this!}

Amy Webb designed a super cool aisle runner with names of Prince Harry and Meghan’s family members. (I wish I had thought of that for my own wedding!!) Ice By Design crafted some amazing ice sculptures to display, and Yolo Rollo represented with their deliciously unique rolled ice cream.

Tessa and Josh were the perfect bride and groom models for our shoot! Tessa made a gorgeous bride in her White Dresses gown and jewelry from Klos Diamond Center. Becca from Jane Salon did an amazing job as our hair artist, and Josh was smashing himself in a tux from The Black Tux.

Metropolitan DJ’s uplighting was perfect for our nighttime scene. Kandy with Your Perfect Party’s draping made the best backdrop for our ice cream booth! Mullins Special Occasions shared some of their great linens and other rentals. And that incredible painting was done by S. Arias Creates! She expertly took our concepts and painted them in the setting of St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, where Prince Harry and Meghan’s reception took place.

Here’s The Gorgeous Result!

*hugs*
