We love a good little adventure, and this session beat the odds! Nina and Frank had plans to come up from Birmingham for a classy engagement session. Available summer weekends are rare for wedding photographers who travel a lot, so this date was strategically chosen.
And if you’re local to Huntsville, you know how much rain has been gracing our presence lately! Nina and I decided to wait until that afternoon to make the final weather call.
After refreshing our hyper-local weather app about 100 times, we decided to go for it! It drizzled a total of 8 raindrops on us the entire time. Score one for the J&A group!
What I love about these images (besides Nina’s outfit, but I’ll get to that later!) is how fresh this session feels. We found the freshness without any grungy post-rain light. Nina and Frank chose Indian Creek Greenway as their engagement session location, and it was perfect for the occasion!
Indian Creek Greenway embraces you with its vibrant greenery and summertime vibes. The path reflects a gentle light up from its pavement. The natural feel creates a romantic hideaway that makes twirling and snuggling even more epic.
On the topic of twirling, I can’t post these pictures without all the heart eyes for Nina’s flowy outfit that has me dreaming all the perfect twirly dreams. I loved both looks that they chose, but her outfit will always have a special place in my engagement session memories.
Nina and Frank made this rain-kissed evening so amazing! The time just flew by so quickly because we were having so much fun! We shared stories about Josiah and Nina’s dog Evey. Nina even so sweetly looked at all the Josiah pictures I pulled up as we were walking down the trail.
These two are an incredible couple, and we’re already suuuuper excited about their winter wedding at Huntsville Botanical Garden next year!
*hugs*
