Wow, has this year been a whirlwind of adventure! We’re thankful that Christmas rolls around every year to remind us in a tangible way of our salvation in Jesus.

To come to this sinful earth and live among us, to die on the cross for our sins, to suffer the wrath of God that we deserve, and to abolish death through His resurrection. Praise God for His great and marvelous love for us!!

Cookies. We love the cookies.

All the happy traditions that come along with Christmas are such a tradition special. I absolutely love Christmas shopping and picking out the perfect gift for people I love. Cookie exchanges, the decorations, twinkling lights all over our living room, and an excuse to eat extra sweets. So fun!

As we indulge in the delicious and beautiful things that come along with the season, we always hope to truly and deeply remember what we’re celebrating.

Even better than the cookies.

We have eternal life in heaven only by the grace of Jesus Christ. His coming to earth as a baby in a manger so long ago in Bethlehem was the fulfillment of God’s promises to His people. His sacrifice paid for our sins. Undeserved love like that is humbling, serious, and awe-inspiring.

We hope your Christmas season is joyful, no matter what life looks like for you right now. Life can be really hard and really messy sometimes. But because of that baby we’re celebrating, we can have hope of eternal life in Jesus!

Merry Christmas!!

*hugs*
