We fell in love with Allison and Anthony within just minutes of meeting them at their initial coffee date with us. Their personalities, enthusiasm, and thoughtfulness have been a joy to experience! Their classic downtown Huntsville engagement session is one of my current favorites not only because they absolutely rocked it in front of the camera, but also because we just so enjoyed spending time with them.
Looking at the forecast Friday night, I was sure we’d be fighting the rain all day long. With 100% chance of rain in the morning and talk of potential strong storms with gale-force winds in the afternoon/evening, things weren’t looking promising. We were thankful to be at Huntsville Botanical Garden with its gorgeous Conservatory and covered porches!
But…God decided to give us a delightful surprise! The only rain we battled against was right before Allison and Anthony’s ceremony! We were able to do all our portraits outside, as well as a few minutes of sunset portraits. What a gift! Sweet Allison ended up moving their ceremony inside the ballroom due to a crazy downpour right before the ceremony was supposed to start, but everyone handled it so well. (A huge shout out to the amazing team at In Bloom for patiently and calmly dealing with last-minute decisions on where the ceremony would be.)
I spent all day swooning over both Allison’s dress and her florals! From the moment I saw that huge bow adorning Allison’s gown, I knew it was going to be a super fun day. The delightedly surprised look on Anthony’s face when he saw it during their First Look was so adorable. Allison’s bouquet look stunning and smelled so good! In Bloom incorporated gardenias – so heavenly. I always offer to carry the bride’s bouquet around, but I had extra pleasure in that task because I loved burying my nose in it while we were walking.
The colors Allison and Anthony chose were spring garden wedding perfection! Lavender with pops of blush made everything soft and airy while still keeping a beautiful splash of color. The soft colors against the Garden’s spring green backdrop were stunning.
The dinosaur. I’ll just leave that here and let you see for yourself.
The fact that almost everyone in the room traveled to celebrate with this amazing couple is such a beautiful testimony to all the lives they’ve impacted. Since they’re both relatively new to Huntsville (and we sure are thrilled you’re here!), both their families and many of their friends live out of state. Allison and Anthony were so intentional to make it a wonderful event for traveling guests, and they did an amazing job!
I know you want to see it, so here it is!
Allison & Anthony – Thank you so much for choosing us to go on this journey with you! It’s been an absolute joy and honor to capture your wedding day memories. Your hearts really shine, and the number of people who traveled to Alabama to share in your celebration is a testimony to the impact you have on the world! We wish you guys the very best!!
