Huntsville Botanical Garden Golden Hour Engagement Session // Wedding Photographers in Huntsville, Alabama

First of all, a huge thank you to Huntsville Botanical Garden for creating the Golden Hour event this summer! One day each week, the Garden stays open until 8pm for live music, refreshments, and the opportunity to see the Garden in its golden-lit beauty.

We took advantage of that pretty light for Ashley and Jared’s engagement session last week! As the music played under the eaves of the Carriage House, we headed back into the Garden to find some glorious portrait locations.

Back in the garden, everything was quiet and peaceful. We found so many fun spots to stop and pose! The Japanese Garden is quickly becoming one of our favorite portrait spots.

One of my favorite little spots had swooping branches that dangled in Spanish Oak style. As we walked toward the Japanese Garden, we talked about our mutual love of traveling and some of the places we’d both been. Savannah and its gorgeous live oak Spanish Moss came up in conversation. Just as we happened to approach a tree that totally looked live oak inspired. We rounded the corner to find those swooping branches, and there’s a pretty good chance I actually squealed out loud. How perfect!!

Ashley and Jared are planning a Hawaiian wedding next year (swoooon!), and we were so honored to be able to take their engagement pictures here in Huntsville. Huntsville Botanical Garden’s lush vibe will match their Hawaiian pictures so well!
