Misty wedding portrait at Burritt on the Mountain

A wedding at Burritt on the Mountain is absolutely beautiful, no matter the weather. Erica and Nathan might not have had the cheerful sunshine glow every bride wishes for, but the mountaintop fog brought a charm of its own! The misty scene created a fairy-like appearance for our bride and groom portraits.

There were plenty of raindrops joining the fun, which found us dodging under porch roofs and building enclaves shortly once the bridal party met us outside for their portraits. This group was so fun and easy-going! They cheerfully dashed over to the porch with us to grab just a few more pictures before headed in to relax before the ceremony.

My Favorite Wedding Details

At almost every wedding, my favorite details are the most personal and meaningful ones. Those little things are what really put a unique fingerprint into the celebration. Erica asked to have her mother’s wedding rings and portrait added to her bouquet. It faced inward to be close to Erica’s heart. (I was a happy-tear puddle on the floor when I heard that!) What a perfect way to honor the memory of Erica’s mother

Speaking of the bouquet, the florals were stunning! Anemones aren’t something I often see incorporated into a bride’s bouquet and I am in LOVE! They paired perfectly with the roses and created beautiful sunbursts of character throughout the arrangement.

A Celebration of Family

Another one of my favorite parts of this day was watching two families celebrate becoming one! This new family of 6 used a sand ceremony to celebrate and symbolize their new family melding together. Erica and Nathan’s kids had us smiling all day! They were so fun to be around. You could see the love these guys have for each other!
