Winding down a wedding season is both sweet and a little nostalgic. Taylor and Caleb’s gorgeous winter Burritt on the Mountain wedding gave us plenty of reasons to celebrate! It was our last wedding of 2021, and wow. What a way to go out! Gorgeous!! Winter weddings have their own kind of beauty in simplicity. Burritt on the Mountain is a Huntsville wedding venue that never disappoints, and it was perfect for Taylor and Caleb’s wedding day!

From start to finish, our time with Taylor and Caleb has been warm, welcoming, joyful, and so much fun. (Don’t miss their Birmingham engagement session here!!) Our experience with them exactly represented their entire wedding day! Their families and friends warmly welcomed us into their circles and made us feel right at home. Taylor is absolutely precious, and watching her exclaim with delight over every detail and moment of the day was truly a gift.

Adding to the joy of this day was the gift of sunshine! With an all-day rain in the forecast just days before, we were all absolutely thrilled with how the day turned out! We dodged raindrops during pre-ceremony portraits with the girls and dodged inside after snapping a few bridal party portraits afterward, but the most important parts of the day were blessed with dry skies. Taylor and Caleb so much wanted their ceremony on the view, and it happened! Joel and I were thrilled to have our entire bride and groom portrait time rain-free. The low-lying clouds covered a lot of the sunset, but the golden glow gave us everything we needed!

A Few of My Favorite Details

I LOVE a bridal bouquet with color! Taylor’s bouquet (and the rest of her florals!) had color, texture, and character. It makes a portrait pop and makes me so happy!

Every reception is just a little bit better with a coffee bar, and Taylor and Caleb made it happen! Rooster’s Crow offered coffee and hot chocolate to the guests and maybe even a few of the vendors. Mmmm!

We have some pretty amazing bridal parties (our couples have the best kinds of friends!), but some bridal parties just have a little extra something. Taylor and Caleb’s friends were so kind and thoughtful from beginning to end. I heard multiple bridal party members thank a vendor or tell them how nice their work was. What a gift to the people working behind the scenes to pull off the wedding day! And when you walk into the house first thing in the morning to a group of girls dancing in the middle of hair and makeup, you just know it’s going to be good.
