I think I mention it in every engagement session blog post I write, but engagement sessions are the best!! You don’t have any of the wedding day stress or flurry of activity. That means we can all relax, slow it down, and really enjoy getting to hang out and create some magic!
Huntsville offers some incredible engagement session locations, and we’re always thankful for that! Downtown Huntsville literally never gets boring because there are endless spots you can find, all with a character of their own. This fall we did a sunrise session in downtown Huntsville, which was really cool! The direction of the light is completely different in the morning than in the afternoon, so we were handed an entirely new playground to work with. We’ve also pinned down some incredibly gorgeous little spots for epic fall color.
Another highlight was a fall engagement session at Burritt on the Mountain. We’re at Burritt all the time for weddings, but an engagement session has a completely different feel. The few extra minutes we took to head back into the living history museum portion was epic! Those colors and the light absolutely popped! There’s a link to it at the bottom of this post, and you should definitely take a peek at that light.
We could never forget about the epic destination engagement sessions we get to be part of! One of this year’s highlights was Landyn & Chris’ session in Savannah, GA. Using Wormsloe Historic Site as a backdrop for such a sweet and adorable couple was a blast. What a spectacular memory! Our Birmingham sessions always bring a splash of extra fun, as well. We’ve been there often enough now that we’re starting to pick out some favorite spots!
But by far, the best part of all these engagement sessions is the time we get to spend with our couples! The engagement session is really where we get to bond with them, learn more about their personalities and tastes, and connect on a real level. It makes the wedding day extra special because we’re truly friends! We have the best, best couples in our community, and we just absolutely love them all.
So now that you’ve had a taste of our wedding season with the Best of 2021: Wedding Portraits and Best of 2021: Moments In-Between, here’s Part 3.
*hugs*
Amber
