What!!? When we met Bethany and Jon at her childhood home for their engagement session, we were completely blown away by this magazine-worthy backyard garden. Bethany’s mom used to be a professional landscaper, and her talent and love for nature definitely shows! It was incredible and felt like a playground for photographers. Our style gravitates toward pops of vibrant colors, so this excited us so much!
And speaking of vibrant, the joy Bethany and Jon brought to their session was so special! We fell instantly in love with the way they light up their corner of the world with their joyful smiles and sweet laughter. They are so much fun to be around. I’m smiling as I write this because it brings me back to those moments of laughing together!
Bethany was a bridesmaid in sweet Kelly Marie’s wedding last year, and we were thrilled when she asked us to photograph her own wedding! Bethany is completing her medical residency in South Carolina, and we’re so glad we could work out our schedules to squeeze in an engagement session for them before their wedding next month.
Their session date coincided with Hurricane Delta (hello, 2020). I refreshed the weather forecast several times a day leading up to their session. We thought for awhile that we’d have to find a plan B and move their session indoors, but God gave us a wonderful gift! It rained steadily throughout the morning before tapering off to occasional little showers scattered around. We had to take cover once, but the rain held off until we hopped in our car to head home. The rain started in force, and we just praised God for blessing us with that little patch of rain-free clouds!
*hugs*
