A September wedding at Huntsville Botanical Garden with a super cute couple and a fantastic team of vendors. Could there be anything better?! Katie and John David were married in the Celebration Garden and celebrated afterward in the Grand Ballroom, surrounded by the amazing people who love them best! The Garden showed up spectacularly for Katie and John David, full of bright color everywhere we turned! Everything about this wedding day was classic, elegant, relaxed, and genuine. I’m excited for you to see it!

Something I really loved about this wedding day was the relaxed vibe all the way through. Katie and John David (with a shout out to Erica at Helping Hand Parties and Weddings!) created an unrushed timeline that gave space for moments of downtime (and air conditioning breaks!). There was ample time in the morning for everyone to get ready and enjoy the prep time before the day began to rush by.

We really enjoyed our time with Katie and John David during their spring botanical garden engagement session in March! It’s so fun to see how different the early spring vibe is compared to this beautiful late summer wedding at the Garden. I’m reminded of how love grows and blooms with a little intentional watering and moments of sunshine! These two are perfect for each other and it’s a joy to watch them together and capture some of the nuances of their relationship together. They made our jobs so fun!

A Few of My Favorite Wedding Details

The soft seating is always a favorite! It adds a whole new level of pampering for your wedding guests, giving them an inviting place to chill and talk. The character and texture it adds to a space filled with tables and chairs is also so aesthetically beautiful. I often see family able to enjoy it before the wedding as they finish up family portraits and wait for the ceremony to start. It’s a win all day long!

I really enjoyed styled detail pictures with Katie and John David’s invitation suite. It fit the style and vibe of their wedding so perfectly and really set the tone for the day. Another favorite was the draping! I love some good wedding day draping. It adds such an elevated look to any room, and Shindigs & Such always does a fantastic job transforming a space with her magic!
