It’s been a crazy, eventful summer for us this year! In between all of the weddings, engagement sessions, and other tasks that are involved in running a photography business, we like to explore this amazing world every chance we get!

Earlier this summer, we headed out to Nebraska for AJ and Michelle’s wedding in Lincoln (check out their colorful and classy wedding our blog here!). We packed a few extra bags and went straight from Nebraska into a 2 week adventure out west! Our itinerary included some states we’ve never been to before, so we were super excited about this one!

Today we’re sharing the first little piece of that trip with you! Here are some of our Denver highlights!

The first thing on our agenda after a 6am flight was to find some food! One of our friends directed us to Snooze: an AM Eatery, which gave us one of the best breakfast we’ve ever had. We highly recommend it! We knew it would be good when we saw that line out front…

www.joelandamberphotography.comWe loved the unique architecture of the Molly Brown House! Molly Brown was a Titanic survivor, and she went on to spend her life as an activist and philanthropist.

It was hot outside, so we took a detour to find some ice cream at Sweet Cow. This stuff was amazing. Seriously amazing.

www.joelandamberphotography.com By this time, we had walked a few miles and were ready to chill out in our air conditioned car. We stopped to get some coffee for the road at Black Eye and headed out for a mini road trip!

www.joelandamberphotography.com We visited a super cute little town in Colorado called Golden. We loved everything out it! There was such a great little community feel to it – everyone was outside enjoying friends and family. There were bike paths, riverside playgrounds, and tons of cute little shops. Definitely a winner!
