This beautiful Saturday in September opened with the most joyful sunshine, a perfect beginning to Hope and Wilson’s wedding day. Walking into The Ledges, you immediately felt surrounded by the love of their community coming together to bring Hope’s wedding vision to life. Smiles and kind words everywhere, people hard at work hanging drapery or arranging flowers. That was just the beginning – it was clear to see how loved these two are!
A Ledges wedding is always a treat! I will never get enough of the English Tudor style clubhouse with the most gorgeous stone walls (with gorgeous lighting in the middle of the day, as a dreamy bonus) and view of the mountains off the greenway. Literally so much to love about this venue. I also have a soft spot for a traditional church ceremony! We all headed over to Southwood Presbyterian Church for Hope and Wilson to exchange vows before coming back just in time for golden hour portraits on the green.
Hope and Wilson are completely adorable, love the Lord, always have a ready smile, and are dearly loved by so many people. It was an honor to watch them celebrate and be celebrated. After an iconic Ledges meal served in the main ballroom, everyone headed outside to enjoy a night of dancing under the tent.
I don’t often see pale yellow as a primary wedding color and I love it!! It so beautifully complemented the rich greenery surrounding The Ledges clubhouse. Pairing it with a classic blue and white was also really pretty.
The seating chart was a beautiful display of envelopes, complete with a note inside for each guest. I can’t imagine how much time it took to write a heartfelt note to each guest, but that’s a wedding favor that will leave your guests feeling so loved!
Instead of coming up to grab cake from the corner of the room, each table had their own cake. And at each table was someone selected to serve the cake to the rest of the table. I’ve never seen anything like that before, and Joel thought it was pretty fantastic. We had the best time running around capturing some hilarious moments of people hamming it up while cutting and serving the cake. It made the cake part a whole lot of fun!
Hope & Wilson – thank you so much for the honor of capturing the memories from your wedding day! You are so full of light and joy of the Lord. We also cherish our faith in Jesus, and it was a gift to witness you starting your lives together as husband and wife with many God-honoring moments. We wish you both the very best as you serve the Lord together and grow in your love for Him and for each other!
*hugs*
