Why Having A Wedding Email Account Is Just A Good Idea

Tidbits

Nov 5, 2015

We’re going to talk about a helpful little tidbit on the J&A Blog today! Creating a wedding specific email account is becoming more and more popular, and understandably so. There are lots of good reasons why creating your own special wedding email address can be beneficial.

  1. With all the wedding websites and vendors requiring you to sign up with you email address, your wedding email is the perfect thing to use! It allows you to protect your personal info and keep it separate.
  2. After the wedding, you won’t need to go through and unsubscribe from all the wedding websites you signed up for! It’s the way of the internet. What started as fascinating information during your planning process can suddenly turn into spam when it’s no longer relevant for you. You can just simply delete your wedding email account and never deal with it again!
  3. It gives you a cute, wedding related email address that keeps you excited throughout the planning process. Every time you use your cute little email address, you get to tell the world that you’re getting MARRIED! :)
  4. It keeps all of your wedding related info organized in the same place. All of your wedding communication will be at your fingertips. No sorting through your personal email to find what you need!
  5. It makes it easier to remember what you still need to deal with. It’s easy for an email to go unnoticed or unanswered when it gets pushed further and further down into the depths of the inbox clutter.
  6. You can utilize great resources (like Google Drive) that come free with your email account. For those of you who are ultra organized, these tools are perfect!

Be sure to check your wedding email daily, or every couple days, minimum! Don’t go weeks without checking it. You may lose out on valuable communication and opportunities with vendors or other wedding related contacts.

It’s common to use your future last name, such as “thefuturemrspatton@.com”, or “mrandmrssterner@.com”. Don’t be afraid to get awesomely creative, though! You can even double it as your wedding hashtag! #steelemyheart will go down in history as one of my faves. :)

Have fun and enjoy the ride!

*hugs!*
