Every bride is beautiful. There is nothing like a white dress, the sparkle of excitement, and fireworks of love to bring out all the natural beauty in every woman. As the bride walks down that aisle, she feels like a fairy tale.

Sigh. I love weddings.

As girls, we spend the months before the wedding primping and planning how to look like the fairy tale we’ve always dreamed of. One of the things we always stress about is how to lose a little bit of weight to make that dress fit like a dream. Makeup and hair are done last minute, nails and tans are pretty easy, too. But losing weight? That’s a battle that takes more time and commitment.

This is the first blog post of a 3 part series to give you all the information you need to create a healthy lifestyle for yourself that you can stick to! We know how much time and effort it can take to change to a healthier lifestyle. The good news is that it doesn’t have to be that difficult! Just minor changes can make a difference! The key is commitment.

Today I want to introduce you to a couple of my favorite workout programs. Both T25 and Insanity are put out there by Beachbody. If you’ve never heard of Beachbody, you should check them out! www.beachbody.com (And next week, we have a Beachbody coach weighing in with some of her thoughts!)

Both workouts are in DVD form. This means that you can do your workout at home! That’s right- no trips to the gym, no expensive gym memberships, and no equipment needed. I’m not going to lie. They’re intense. But guess what? They work! Not to mention, you will feel amazing.

I recommend starting with T25, especially if you’re new to these types of workouts. It is a 25 minute workout that will make your muscles burn! I love that fact that it’s a doable workout. When I get home at the end of the day, I don’t always have time or energy to go exercise for an hour. You still get an incredibly effective workout without the huge time commitment. As busy as we all are, who doesn’t have 25 minutes a day?

Insanity is ah-mazingly intense and incredible. If you’re looking for a die-hard, I want to get into the best shape of my life and I’m willing to work for it, I would totally recommend Insanity. It takes a little bit longer (workouts are usually between 35-50 minutes apiece) and the workouts are definitely more intense. It’s so worth it, though. Prepare to sweat.

Shaun T is a great motivator, too. Whether you do T25 or try out Insanity, he makes it fun and entertaining. If you follow the schedule, both workouts will keep you busy for about 3 months. There’s enough variety to keep things interesting, but as you repeat the workouts once a week, you become stronger and more agile with the moves.

If you commit and make the effort, you will be amazed at the results you see!
