Another dreamy spring wedding! I mean, these brides pull off the most beautiful and meaningful wedding celebrations, and we’re so privileged to capture them! Cacky and Clark’s wedding at Riverside Event Venue had us walking on air with excitement from beginning to end. We embraced the overcast skies because it allowed us to take mid-day portraits in locations we wouldn’t have otherwise been able to easily use! What a fun gift for us as photographers! The bridge in the background is a signature of Riverside Event Venue, and we had multiple chances to use it.

Besides all that, we had such a fun and genuine bridal party, an epic antique car, and tiny little foster puppies!! If nothing else, keep scrolling to see the puppies. They made a grand appearance just in time for their portraits, and they were adorable!! Then soon after that, we got to play around with their gorgeous, fully restored antique getaway car. What an epic afternoon of portraits!

Knowing how amazing Cacky and Clark are, I shouldn’t have been surprised by super awesome little details like that. These two are a powerhouse of fun. We easily connected with them over our love for local business and downtown Huntsville (check out their downtown Huntsville engagement session, complete with Piper & Leaf tea!). We are also big fans of Clark’s podcast, Beyond Rockets. If you love Huntsville, entrepreneurship, or supporting small local businesses, you won’t want to miss it! And if that’s not enough, precious Cacky is fostering a collection of puppies while she has a super cool day job.

Favorite Wedding Day Details

I already spilled the beans on many of my favorite wedding day details above. The puppies are a definite must on this list. So sweet!! We were thrilled to have a few minutes to pet them between portraits. The antique car made a really neat backdrop for some groomsmen portraits!

I haven’t mentioned the fireworks yet, or the really scrumptious shrimp and grits catered by Mason Dixon Bistro & Bakery. Cacky’s bouquet was another top favorite!! I loved the pops of blue and bunches of greenery. Simply gorgeous!

We also had another surprise furry friend join the wedding prep fun! A very friendly kitty was nicknamed “River” and welcomed with open arms. She purred her way around the hair and makeup, meowed her approval when Cacky stepped into her dress, and sat right in the middle of the wedding details I was photographing. She found some welcoming friends and make a fun addition to the wedding day memories.
