Sarah & Blake // Romantic Botanical Garden Proposal!

We planned out every beforehand detail with Blake – the time, the location, the exact spot he was going to drop to one knee. The close-up shots and the pullbacks. How we would be “hiding” so Sarah would never suspect that those two people wandering around the Botanical Gardens on a 30-degree day in December were waiting to snap pictures of her.

Then the moment came. Suddenly, it was so real. We saw Blake and Sarah walking down the path, exactly how we had planned. The adrenaline rush came – show time! We ducked out of sight and held our breaths – this beautiful girl was about to experience one of the greatest moments of her life!

With Joel zooming in and me pulling some ninja moves to get front and center, Blake dropped to one knee.

He pulled out a ring.

“Sarah, will you marry me?”

We were actually too far away to hear what he said in real life, but I imagine it was something to that effect. :)

The look on her face was so priceless and so sweet! Yes!!

The look on her face when she realized what Joel and I were doing was also pretty epic. ;)

Sarah and Blake braved the frigid winter air (but hey! We had the whole gardens to ourselves!) to have a mini “we just got engaged and we are so excited” portrait session. Hot chocolate was a must for all of us, not to mention a requirement to warm up our hands so we could snap the shutter button! ;)

 

We are so, so excited for the future these two have together! We are so happy for you guys, Sarah and Blake!! <3
