Holy Spirit Catholic Church Wedding and Southern Charm Reception // Wedding Photographers in Huntsville, Alabama

MaryAnn and Cody are married! Their Holy Spirit Catholic Church wedding ceremony and Southern Charm Event Venue reception saw a day full of joy. It was a September day that felt more like August, filled with stained glass, the perfect little spot of greenery in the middle of a parking lot, all the traditions of a Catholic wedding ceremony, a rose garden, and (oh my!) the sunset.

A central part of MaryAnn and Cody’s wedding day was the Sacrament of Matrimony. You could see how meaningful each moment was to them as a couple and how they were truly being present in each moment. After a few family portraits and some fun bridal party moments outside, we headed over to Southern Charm wedding venue in Athens to take some bride and groom portraits with MaryAnn and Cody!

A new (to us) venue is always so fun! We get to walk into a place we’ve never seen before and create beautiful images. The excitement of seeing some pretty light coming perfectly through the trees or an open field with a neat skyline makes an extra fun portrait session for us! MaryAnn and Cody make THE cutest couple and absolutely nailed their portraits! And after their first dances when we said, “we have about 3 minutes left of sunset, do you want to go?” – they immediately took off running with us to chase the light! It made my heart so happy! Thank you for being willing to make the dash to get some of Joel’s favorite pictures of the entire day. The sunset kiss definitely brings the Pride and Prejudice vibes (2005 iykyk) and you know I’m always here for anything that whispers Jane Austen.

MaryAnn and Cody were perfect for portraits and looked so natural in front of the camera! The dance floor was so fun with both sweet moments and ones that had us cracking up behind the lens. They have the nicest family and friends! I have the softest spot for grandma moments, and I got to capture some really sweet ones. So yes, it was a good day!
