Lacie & David // Historic Downtown Savannah Destination Engagement

When Lacie and I started talking about engagement session locations, we quickly found a mutual love: the beautiful southern city of Savannah, Georgia. Not only is Savannah home to hundreds of Spanish moss covered live oak trees, it’s also home to Forsyth Park and Jones Street. (Named one of the “most beautiful streets in America). Not to mention streets full of historic houses and vine-draped sidewalks…pretty much all the things that make our hearts burst with happiness!

And then there’s Lacie and David. We couldn’t have asked for a more elegant and classy couple with hearts more golden. They fit perfectly into this graceful southern city that was filled with elegant beauty and warm hospitality.

We started their session in Forsyth Park and took full advantage of the Spanish moss draped trees, romantic walking trails, and that beautiful white fountain. We could have stayed there all day under the Spanish moss (and seriously, these two were so much fun to work with!), but those historic neighborhoods were much too tempting.

(P.S. Did you know that Spanish moss isn’t Spanish? It’s not even moss! It’s a member of the pineapple family and is native to America. So fascinating.)

We finished their session wandering through some of the most magical streets in the historic downtown district. We’d also like to say thank you to the person who so kindly left their yellow bicycle so perfectly rested on the edge of the sidewalk. I think that Lacie and I both say that out of all the many favorite spots we found, the yellow bicycle was one our top favorites. :)

After the session, we ended our epic night chilling together with a pepperoni and banana pepper pizza from Vinnie Van Go-Go’s in the City Market and happily stood in line for our Leopold’s ice cream (Chocolate Chewies & Cream for me, please!). So pretty much, our entire day was incredible from start to finish.
