When Caitlin and Miles first shared their wedding day vision with us, we were smitten with its elegance, class, and timeless elements. They created a celebration that highlighted the best of all those things! Creamy ivory, classic champagne, soft greenery, and romantic golden notes made the perfect setting for Caitlin and Miles to exchange their vows and celebrate with family and friends.
Something I was really reminded of and drawn to throughout the time we spent with them was the beauty of emotion. As wedding photographers, we’re really attuned to the ebb and flow of different emotions throughout the day. Our goal is to capture as many of those nuances as possible because every single one is so meaningful! Caitline and Miles so genuinely loved each other, their families, and all the special moments that surrounded them. Heartwarming! I just cherished having a front-row seat to capture such amazing and precious moments throughout the entire day!
After the ceremony, formal portraits, and a little bit of dance, we grabbed the media team and whisked the bride and groom away to the bluff for sunset portraits. Be still my heart! The sunset on the other side of the trees, which gave the bluff an absolutely stunning natural look. The light was so soft and highlighted the beautiful blue and green hues of the valley below. It was different than the golden glow, and its uniqueness was perfection! So beautiful! Caitlin and Miles were posing pros by that point, and those were some of my favorite pictures from the day.
Caitlin and Miles decided not to do a First Look, but they did enjoy a few pre-ceremony moments together with a first touch moment! We have the sweetest pictures of these two reading their letters to each other from around the corner. Having glass windows everywhere meant hiding them from each other had to be strategic! Once they were in place, nothing could be more perfect with these two.
When I posted sneak peeks on social media the night of the wedding, my inbox exploded with comments about this unique venue! This was our first time at The Glass House Venue in Skyline, AL and WOW! What a fun treat it was to explore such a gorgeous spot in the country! One of my favorite things about it was the floor-to-ceiling windows that let in copious amounts of natural light. It created a beautifully light and airy look both inside and out. I also really loved the wide-open spaces that made you feel like you were in a world of your own. We can’t wait to watch it evolve and become everything they dream it will be!
Caitlin & Miles – thank you so much for choosing us to capture these once-in-a-lifetime memories for you! What an honor! We truly enjoyed celebrating all those moments by your side. You are two amazing, thoughtful, genuine people, and we know you’re going to shine brightly in this world!
*hugs*
