Emily & Ben // Green Mountain Engagement

When we scheduled their engagement session for the middle of November, we weren’t sure how much of the fall color we’d have left. We were so happy to discover that of our fiery golden leaf wishes came true! Our long (very long. But who’s complaining? Not us!!) summer turned into a slow and dreamy fall, complete with stunning fall colors perfectly ripened for Emily and Ben’s session on Green Mountain.

And the weather? Perfect. Absolutely perfect. If every one of our sessions could be so completely not-too-hot-and-not-too-cold, I would be a very happy camper! :)

In true tradition for a nice fall afternoon in the South, Green Mountain was the place to be. I think it worked in our favor, though! Dodging family sessions, dog-walking hikers, and a lakeside wedding gave us reason to go a little deeper, explore a little more, and cut cross-country to find some new favorite spots.

And then there’s Emily and Ben. Troopers. Such great troopers. They so sweetly followed us wherever we dodged in our quest to find the colors and lose the crowds.

I think I’m more in love with fall color than ever. And absolutely smitten with these two. Emily and I share a love of emoticons, and our emails are nicely decorated with all kinds of happy. :)

Emily and Ben, you guys are such a joy! We’re so thankful for you! Your wedding next year is going to be fantabulous! Hugs!!

I couldn’t resist sharing this one that we took just for fun because Joel and I totally relate!! Being married to a tall guy means lots of standing on steps and furniture just to be on eye level!! ;)
