Match Made In Heaven

As soon as we met Emily and her mom, we knew that this wedding was going to be an absolute treat to photograph. And as soon as we met Ethan at their engagement session and saw the two of them together, we knew they were made for each other.

One of my favorite things about Emily and Ethan is their joy in life. In the little pieces of time we’ve been privileged to spend with them over these last few months, I love how they live life with enthusiasm. They are two of the most thoughtful people. Watching them with their friends and family on their wedding day, they poured out so much love on those around them.

Just The Most Awesome Venue Ever

Emily and Ethan celebrated their reception at Emily’s family farm. This gooooorgeous piece of property has been in her family for almost 100 years. Her dad and grandfather grew up in that house. How neat is that?! The house itself was a dream, and the property with its magnolia trees and cool, clear stream made for the most magical backdrop.

Details All Day

One of the things that really stood out to me about Emily and Ethan’s wedding day was their incredible attention to detail. They added so many special touches that ensured their guests had a comfortable and fun time. Things like giant fans that made the outdoor reception space quite comfortable and stadium-style lights to help people find their cars in the field-turned-parking lot.

Then there were the tiny touches filled with special meaning. A piece of her mother’s wedding dress and her great grandmother’s pin wrapped around Emily’s bouquet. Superhero socks handpicked for each groomsman by Ethan. Thoughtful customized gifts exchanged by Emily and Ethan just before the wedding. Everywhere we turned, there was a perfect little detail.

The Dream Team

No wedding magic happens without a team working behind the scenes – and this team was on top of their game! A special shout out to the amazing coordinator, Chelsea Kennedy Events. As always, Chelsea and her team kept everything running as smoothly as buttercream icing.

Emily was every bit a princess in her gown from Promenade Bridal. Swanky Transformations and Bare Beauty did an incredible job on her hair and makeup, and the result was simply stunning! A Lola’s Gifts and Flowers bouquet finished Emily’s look of perfection.

We enjoyed working beside the guys at Long Grass Studios to capture so many amazing memories! Details like invitations and custom goodies from PSI and calligraphy by Suzanne Cunningham were picture perfect.

After Emily and Ethan exchanged vows at St James UMC, the bridal party hopped aboard a trolley to head out to Clear Creek Farm to celebrate the night away! Guests were treated to so many amazing things – Toomer’s Lemonade, a feast created by Jill’s Sweet Memories, a groom’s chocolate bar, s’mores down by the river, and a cake by Coldwater Cookie Company.

Then there were some of my personal favorites: The Kirkman Combo, a Frios popsicle cart, fireworks, and an antique car getaway!

A special thank you to the Nolen family for opening up their beautiful Clear Creek Farm and making us feel as welcome as family. You turned it into a most perfect wedding venue, and it was a treat to photograph!
