There are so many reasons we just love Abbie and Jeff! Not only do their kind and thoughtful personalities make you feel welcome right away, but their love for God and for others shines through everything they do. And then there was their engagement session at Turbo Coffee Shop in Florence. You can guess how happy that made our hearts!
We flipped the calendar to September 1st and woke up to Abbie and Jeff’s wedding day! How could September start off any more amazingly?
At every turn, this day was something that brought laughter and joy: Abbie’s giggles as Jeff twirled her into a dip, happy tears as Abbie’s mom and sister shared in her Father/Daughter first look, a surprise Thriller dance by the bride and groom, and the guests’ exclamations of delight when they walked into the side room and discovered the cheesecake and pie bars.
One of the really special moments for Abbie and Jeff at their wedding was hearing Pastor Scott Barber tell about how the wedding ceremony reflects how we become the bride of Christ. The love of Christ so real, and knowing that He calls us to be His own is humbling and incredible at the same time. The whole wedding day was a testimony to God’s love for His people and Abbie and Jeff’s love for each other and for the Lord.
Burritt on the Mountain makes an incredible wedding venue anytime of the year, and September is no exception. With leaves still shading the winding walks and weather that’s comfortably perfect for gazing at the city lights after dark, it’s definitely a win. Abbie and Jeff chose to have their ceremony under the gazebo, with both indoor and outdoor spaces for their reception. The Overlook is a gorgeous spot to mingle in the evening!
It was a joy to work alongside Bobby Martin Videography (they brought a cooler of cold drinks to share – so sweet!), and Cathy Mayer kept track of all the little details throughout the day. Every wedding we work with Simpson’s Florist is such a treat! She and her team worked their magic with greenery, florals, and ceremony draping.
And Abbie! She was stunning in her dress from Modern Brides, with an adorable wedding day hair style by Kristen Harmening. The guys rocked their Coats tuxes, and Lucia Sparks created a beautiful paper suite that complemented the greenery and florals perfectly.
After being treated to inspiring ceremony music from Will Stanford and Lee Taylor, the guests moved inside to enjoy a buffet created by Bubba’s Silver Catering. And besides Batter Up Cake’s delicious cake decorated with simple greenery, the guests were treated to a cheesecake bar and selection of mini pies! Metropolitan DJ kept the party going all night long – the packed dance floor ended the night with as much joy and laughter as the day started.
From start to finish, Abbie and Jeff’s wedding day was nothing but pure joy. Enjoy this peek at their wedding day!
Abbie & Jeff – you guys have become so much more than our clients. You’ve become our friends who love the Lord and live your lives for His glory! You shine so brightly in this world, and we’re so honored to be walking this journey beside you. Hugs to you both!
*hugs*
