Focus on the Good

A Mocha For Your Tuesday

Jun 14, 2016

Always look for the best in each other.

When you focus on the good, the negative suddenly doesn’t seem quite so big.

It’s easy to notice all the imperfect things your spouse does. Being late getting supper on the table every night, letting laundry pile up, staying late at work, forgetting to call, spending too much time on the golf course.

You could probably write a pretty comprehensive list.

But can you write a comprehensive list of all the things that are wonderful about them? All the things that make you love them more every day?

What about the way she gives tirelessly to those who need her? What about the way he works hard to provide for your family? The way she smiles at you? The way he write encouraging emails when you’re having a bad day?

Don’t let the negative things be your focus.

Forgive quickly.

Look for the good in each other and your relationship. When you focus on that, you’ll be surprised at how inconsequential all those little annoyances really are in the big picture of your marriage. :)

*hugs*
