There is so much to love about a summer wedding at Huntsville Botanical Garden and even more to love about a couple as amazing as Savannah and Gannon. Add in soft blush details, a beautiful church ceremony, and an incredible dance party with Steve (IYKYK), it’s a magical day. The Botanical Garden really showed off its splendor in a vibrant way. Color everywhere!
We became completely smitten with Savannah and Gannon after their Big Spring Park proposal last fall. It’s easy to see why they’re so loved by everyone in the room! We’ve had the honor of being connected with Gannon’s mom through one of our favorite community organizations, and it’s been such a gift to now know Savannah and Gannon as one of our J&A Couples. (And just as fun for us – we’ll be hanging at his brother/best man Cole and Caroline’s wedding in just two months!)
The day started off with all the peaceful getting ready moments in the Garden’s Grand Hall suites. After Savannah and Gannon’s first look and letter exchange, we hopped on the golf cart for a whirl around the Garden to some of our favorite mid-day portrait spots. Some bridal party and family portraits later, we headed over to Christ Presbyterian Church for a really beautiful ceremony. Then we made our way back to the Garden for golden sunset portraits and one of the most fun dance parties!
Savannah was glowing! I loved the appliqué detail and silhouette of her dress. Her classic and elegant hairstyle and long veil completed the look so beautifully. Savannah’s whole bridal look was a favorite detail from this day. Plus she’s as sweet on the inside and she is beautiful on the outside!
How can you not love a dance party with Metropolitan’s Steve working the dance floor, especially when you have a crowd as fun as this one? Some receptions are just straight out fun to be at, and this was one of them. I also love all the space the Grand Hall offers to spread out and find your perfect spot. Dancing in the main ballroom, a serene summer night out on the Veranda, and a step to the side spot in the Conservatory.
It was hard to narrow down this gallery to a blog post-sized selection, but here it is.
Savannah & Gannon – thank you so much for giving us the honor of capturing your wedding! Every memory from your day is fantastic. It was a gift to spend the day with you and we’re thankful our paths crossed in this way! We wish you the very best as you begin your new lives serving the Lord together as husband and wife!
*hugs*
