Misty Fall Private Monte Sano Backyard Wedding // Wedding Photographers in Huntsville Alabama
A foggy, misty Saturday might not be the most ideal weather for a wedding, but Meghan and Mark’s Monte Sano backyard wedding was everything fresh and vibrant! Just wait until you see the joy and laughter flowing out of these pictures. The remnants of a hurricane had nothing on this group of people. The all-day mist insisted on sticking around for the party, but the party took it in stride and rocked it, anyway. I have a lot of admiration for Meghan and Mark (and their crew!) for embracing the drizzle and taking all their portraits outside in the mountain mist.
There was something romantic and cozy about it all that I really did love. My favorite portrait of the entire day was right at the very end, as the darkness began to envelope and warm streetlights came on. It took a few tries, but we pulled off a heavy, rain-soaked veil toss that became magical. Definitely stick around until the very end to get a glimpse at how amazing an almost-dark, rainy day wedding picture can be. Romantic!!
Meghan and Mark created an intimate wedding celebration in their Monte Sano backyard for just a handful of those closest to them. One of my favorite themes so far this fall has been the relaxed, laid-back wedding days. This fit the trend perfectly! After finishing up family and bridal party portraits at the ceremony location, we raced the settling darkness to spend a few minutes with Meghan and Mark in the Twickenham district of downtown Huntsville. Winner! Perfect way to end our time together before they headed off to celebrate at 1892 East.

And that last shot… Just wow! Truly a “as-luck-would-have-it / stars-aligned” kind of shot! The veil toss looks perfect and the misting rain gives those streetlights such a unique and remarkable ethereal glow that adds to an already amazing photo!
