A new year, a new decade, and a new Mr and Mrs Gibson! We celebrated 2020 with Kelly Marie and Tyler’s beautiful winter wedding at First Baptist Church in Huntsville.
There’s something a little extra special about photographing a wedding at a place that has become a Huntsville icon. The mural of the ascending Jesus is almost as famous as our Saturn V rocketship! What a treat to compose such an art piece as the backdrop for portraits.
Another surprise that delighted us was that the tree stage from the Living Christmas Tree production was still up, and it was amazing! What a setting for the ceremony!!
There’s also something a little extra special about this sweet couple! Kelly Marie and Tyler truly encompass a heartfelt joy that reflects their love for Jesus. One of the things we really connected with during their first coffee date with us was their hearts for ministry, discipleship, and missions.
Watching them on the wedding day absolutely brought joy to my heart. Their huge smiles and lit-up eyes made my heart squeeze. You’ll see what I mean when you browse through this blog post. I smile every time I see that laughter of Kelly Marie’s!
This Reception Took The Cake
One of my favorite memories of this wedding day was the incredible reception Kelly Marie and Tyler created for their guests! First of all, there was a coffee bar. Their first date was at Rooster’s Crow, so it was so fitting. Tyson and his team not only provided a made-to-order coffee bar, but also created a special coffee blend as Kelly Marie and Tyler’s guest favors! You can imagine how happy Joel and I were to be surrounded by coffee all night.
And let me tell you, this crowd can dance with such grace! I enjoyed watching them so much! They knew the dances to songs that I didn’t even know had organized dances.
Kelly Marie and Tyler also choreographed an entire production for the grand entrance. The whole wedding party put on a show that just blew us away. So impressive!

Joel and Amber – you very well captured a delightful, worshipful ceremony. Most fairy tales get written afterwards – you seem to have caught the beginning of a new one – thank you so much! If prospective customers wonder what it took to get all these amazing shots I can testify the staged shots went like clockwork, and I STILL don’t know how they got many of the action shots without being obtrusive, or even visible!
Wow! I’m amazed at how realistic this “fairytale” was! I’m so thankful to God for these moments that he has to gracefully allowed me to be a part of, even though I was unable to be present. These photos brought me to the wedding. I’ve honestly never seen such perfect memories of a wedding. Though I’m certain that it has alot to do with the people being captured, I’m persuaded that the photographer is anointed by God to be a master of their craft. May the Lord favor you more and more and bless others with the product their hearts long for.
