The wedding details. How we wedding photographers just drool over gorgeous rings, beautiful bouquets, antique brooches, glittering shoes. We love them, you love them, and Pinterest loves them!

To save time and help create a smooth flow to your wedding day, we wanted to share some tips on making sure you get the great detail shots you’ll love!

Collect all the special details that you would like photographed into one spot – like in a cute little box, a gift bag, or even just a specified spot on the dresser. Your photographer can get shots of all your special details while you’re getting ready, and you don’t have to worry about running around to gather them!

Some things you’ll want to have ready for your photographer: rings (both his and hers!), shoes, veil, special jewelry, and heirlooms that will be a part of your wedding.

If there’s a piece that is really special to you, don’t be afraid to tell your photographer about it! Photographers are great about taking pictures of all the details they see (we always LOVE detail shots!), but they don’t know the stories behind your most sentimental items.

Have your details gathered and ready the night before – one less thing to think about on your wedding morning! You have more important things to focus on – like marrying the love of your life. :)
