It’s a question we get a lot on the wedding day! Our bride is finishing up all those last touches and adding a gorgeous set of jewelry to her ensemble. She suddenly looks down at her engagement ring and has a quick moment of uncertainty about what to do with it!
Most brides simply move the engagement ring over to the ring finger of her right hand. After the ceremony is over, it’s easy to switch it back to your left hand.
Traditionally, the wedding ring is worn first and closest to your heart. After the ceremony, you’ll wear your engagement ring on the outside of the wedding ring if you choose to wear both.
Occasionally, a bride will not be able to wear her ring on a different finger. Maybe the size isn’t quite right for any other, or maybe the bride just prefers not to wear it during the ceremony. It’s totally acceptable to leave your ring at home or with a trusted friend.
Not that we’re biased, of course, but the image of a full bridal set does make a gorgeous addition to your wedding gallery! ;)
