Writing the blog post for the last wedding of the year is always a little surreal. Our brides become really engrained into my life throughout the months of planning and dreaming, and waving goodbye to another season and all our 2024 brides is bittersweet. I wish we could keep them all forever! (Winter Brunch, coming soon!!) Celebrating with Morgan and Ethan’s wedding at Burritt on the Mountain this past weekend was an outstanding way to end our 2024 season!
Burritt’s Baron’s Bluff was draped in beautiful, wintery white florals and warm greenery. Winter has a calm simplicity that has its own kind of beauty. The view from the Overlook was as clear as I’ve ever seen it! The wind was about as blustery as a full-force March day. Morgan, Ethan, and their crew handled the whipping winds with grace and poise.
Morgan and Ethan exchanged their vows on The View as the sun dipped behind the clouds toward the horizon. You can’t go wrong with a barbecue dinner here in the South, and it set the stage for a fantastic evening of celebration! Everyone clearly adores these two, and I can see why! Morgan is so full of joy and sunshine. You can’t help but smile when you’re around her. Ethan is a perfect match for her with his quiet kindness. I love watching them together!
Morgan gifted some special women in her life with a handcrafted handkerchief made from her mom’s wedding dress. She had her own to carry, and sharing that meaningful bond with each other was really sweet. That’s a special heirloom to pass down! She also carried a piece of the lace around her bouquet and had her garter designed from a piece of the dress.
I love a good watercolor painting, and photographing the watercolor venue print on their Save the Date is always really fun! It’s such a great memento for them to save and cherish. Styled detail pictures get my creative juices flowing and are a special part of my time on the wedding day, and special little details are super fun to play with!
I could keep going, but pictures are worth a thousand words.
Morgan & Ethan – thank you so much for giving us the honor of photographing your wedding! The memories are so precious, and it’s been a joy going on this journey with you! We wish you the very best and all the beautiful adventures as husband and wife.
*hugs*
Amber
