A wedding day at Creekside at Collier’s End is always beautiful. When it’s a day full of sunshine after weeks of rain, it’s that much better! Lindsey and Caleb’s wedding celebration at Creekside was perfect from start to finish. The only thing more glorious than the golden sunshine was celebrating these two. They are clearly loved by so many, and it’s easy to see why. We had the best day with them and their super sweet families!
The longer we photograph weddings, the more I really appreciate the unique vibe each Huntsville wedding venue brings to the day. I always ask our couples what it was about the venue that they fell in love with. Not only does it allow me to capture images that highlight the spaces most meaningful to them, but it also gives me a glimpse into the iconic charm and signature beauty each venue holds. Creekside at Collier’s End does a fantastic job of incorporating nature and weaving inside/outside together for both the ceremony and reception. I love the private estate rose garden vibe for portraits, and sunset in the vineyard is so classy!
A Few of My Favorite Details
I really love a private vow or letter exchange during the First Look. Besides amazing pictures with real emotion, it’s one of the times on the wedding day where literally everything else disappears for a few minutes. You are entirely focused on each other. The wedding day can be a blur, but this is one of the wedding day moments you’ll never forget.
Lindsey and Caleb had a blue and white color palette for their wedding day and incorporated hydrangeas in a few places. As I was walking around the side of the house, surprise! A perfectly bloomed bush of blue hydrangeas. We stopped to take a few sunset portraits there on the way to the vineyard before the reception. It’s a tiny detail that most people probably won’t notice the connection with, but I was so excited!
This is a bonus, but my Favorites list couldn’t be complete without Grandma Ruby. I love, love, love grandmas. This wedding had all the grandmas and I couldn’t be happier! I loved them all. But Grandma Ruby had the biggest, sweetest, most joyful smile on her face all day. When you spot her in the pictures, you’ll know. She’s Caleb’s great-grandma and rocked that light up baton with the best of them. I hope I’m just like her when I grow up!
There’s so much to love and so many memories to show.
