Kerry and Brandon are married!! We headed down to Birmingham to celebrate their wedding celebration at Swann Lake Stables this past weekend, and what an outstanding wedding it was! Pops of rich fall color, a fantastic group of family and friends, and a couple who absolutely adore each other.

Not only are Kerry and Brandon just incredible people to be around, they’re also incredibly photogenic. It made our jobs so fun! The overcast day made it a little extra chilly, but it created a playground for us to use some great backdrops that really incorporated the aspects venue they fell in love with. The four of us debated a little bit about running out to the river rock, but wowzer. I’m so glad we did! Those might have been some of my favorite portraits of the day (and that’s saying something because I loved them all!).

Photographing a wedding at a new-to-us venue is always extra exciting. While we truly love our Huntsville wedding venues, adding a splash of novelty and discovery brings extra creativity! And we couldn’t have picked a better couple to explore a new venue with than these two. They’re gems!

A Few of My Favorite Wedding Details

Definitely the rich fall colors!! A colorful wedding palette will always make my list of favorite wedding details because it pops so beautifully in photographs! The late goooorgeous colorful florals, and emerald green bridesmaid dresses set against the late fall backdrop made my heart so happy.

On the above note, I really loved these florals! They were just the right mix of whimsical and romantic. Also, can the bridal party be a favorite detail? They definitely were.

The guest favors!! Kerry and Brandon treated their guests to candles created by the wonderful team at Back Porch Studios. We’re fans of them, and it was a thrill to see that basket filled to the brim with scrumptious candle treats. Complete with custom matchboxes!
