It was another gorgeous, sunshine-filled Saturday morning in May. The venue was buzzing with activity as family, friends, and vendors finished the final wedding day prep. It was a long-awaited day: the day Maddie & Russell would say “I do”.
Maddie wanted an elegant, classy style that showcased the love of family and each other. With every single detail, you could see the love and care that went into planning it! Breath-taking white floral arrangements and greenery garland heralded the doorways, archways, fireplace, and reception. Perfectly placed pictures from their engagement session, elegant candles, and a super cool lantern-lit arbor that showcased a scrumptious Old Vienna cake were gems of their Meadow Creek Farm wedding!
There was so much love in the air that you couldn’t help but feel enveloped by its sweetness. Maddie and Russell took the cake, of course, but there was so much more. Their strong family ties and the way they honored and shared each moment with their families was just beautiful! Threaded throughout the entire day were endless sweet family moments.
Maddie wore her grandmother’s ring (who placed it on her finger). She wrapped a piece of her mother’s wedding dress around her bouquet and pinned a piece of it into her wedding dress. Russell’s mom pinned his boutonniere, and his father and brother stood beside him as his best men.
Maddie and Russell are truly sweet, kind, genuine people. Their joy on this day was beautiful to see! They are so loved by so many.
The ever-wonderful Kathleen Bernal did an amazing job with the planning, decorating, and coordinating the wedding day! It’s always suc a joy to work with our wedding planner friends. They help the day go so smoothly!
Maddie looked amazing in her dress from Something Blue, and Oh Darling Hair and Makeup enhanced her stunning natural beauty. Put a breath-taking bouquet by Petals in her hands, and Maddie was a wedding day dream!
The reception details were amazing! Pieces from Willow Weddings, Props and Palettes, and Mullins all came together to create an oasis of beauty.
Our sweet Ashley’s Creative Catering treated the guests to hor devours inspired by the bride and groom’s favorite foods (sushi, chicken and waffles, and tacos. Yum!!) before opening the buffet line and dip station to delight everyone’s taste buds even more. After tasting Old Vienna’s cake for dessert, Metropolitan DJ got the party started on the dance floor.
Maddie’s brother Drew gave the ceremony homily, and oh my. Were there tears in my eyes! To hear such heart-felt and wise words from a little brother was really, really special.
Maddie and Russell used his dad’s vintage Mustang for the getaway car – and you know we had to use it for some portraits in the meantime! It was perfect. So perfect! Just like this couple.
Maddie & Russell – thank you so much for letting us be there through every moment! You guys are such a joy to be around, and we’re so glad you found each other. You’ll do great things for the Lord as you serve Him through your marriage! Hugs to you both!! <3
