September Snapshot

These last few weeks have been a little crazy for us! We’ve been traveling to some super amazing places, tasting lots of coffee, and usually on a completely different timezone as most of you (aka our Instagram posts hitting your feed at 1am).

For those of you who have been following along on all our Instagram stories – or even just cheering on our new #jacoffeefavorites discoveries – we want to give you a quick little recap of what we’ve been up to!

I’ll totally confess that keeping up with social media has been a little tough these last few weeks! Sharing our many coffee adventures and epic scenery while still trying to give our followers relevant and helpful content – all while in a crazy timezone and sometimes without internet connection has taken me for a spin!

September 1st launched our long-dreamed-of trip to explore Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia! We try to take a couple weeks every year to explore a part of the world we hadn’t seen before. (Click on the Wanderlust category on our blog to get a peek into some of our wanderings!)

We flew into Boston and drove along the coast of Maine, made our way through New Brunswick, explored picturesque fishing villages in Nova Scotia, and spent a week in the pastoral meadows and red sand cliffs of Prince Edward Island. After a couple days in Boston and Rhode Island (because why not? While we’re here…), we headed back to sweet home Alabama.

The next 3 days were filled to the brim with client meetings (we welcomed 2 new brides into the J&A Family that weekend!), a bridal session, late night work sessions, and conquering piles of laundry.

We didn’t have a chance to put away our suitcases because our next adventure started at 3:30am Monday morning at the airport. We found out a few days before we left for Atlantic Canada that we’d be heading out later in September for a conference and some meetings….

…in Hawaii.

Rough, right? No complaints about the 3am trip to the airport.

We spent a couple days on Maui before heading to Joel’s prep meetings in O’ahu over the weekend. Monday brought us to Kauai for his conference at an epic resort and conference center.

Our Hawaii trip was mixed with meetings for Joel and work for both of us, but we definitely found plenty of time to explore!

The end of September brought us home to celebrate Shannon and Corey’s wedding day! Their wedding was a beautiful start to a month filled to the brim with fall engagement sessions, bridal sessions, weddings, and our annual J&A Couple mini session day!

So that’s where we’ve been during this crazy month of September! It explains why our Instagram feed has more coffee than weddings and why we’ve been emailing you back in the middle of the night. :)
