When Sean and Lauren asked us if we’d be willing to travel to Atlanta to photograph their wedding, our answer was a definite yes. Not only would we get to capture the wedding of a couple we’ve loved getting to know over the past couple years, but we’d get to do that in a place that was special to them! We’ve been really looking forward to this wedding for tons of reasons, but that fact that it was going to include a kilt, bagpipes, a sprinkle wedding cake, a gorgeous riverside rock, and a coffee bar made it spell “amazing” in our book!
We loved capturing a day that was filled with so many things that were special to the bride and groom. All the details were so perfectly them!
Elements of Sean’s Scottish heritage was woven throughout the wedding day. These great details were all brought over from Scotland!
Such a sweet First Look!
They made their first walk as husband and wife to the amazing sound of bagpipes! This was one of my favorite moments of the ceremony. It was so much fun!
And the look on his face is exactly why we’re so fond of the Just Married Moment. <3 These moments are so real, and they’re so precious.
We headed over to the reception venue and took a little hike down to the riverside for some more portraits. It was a perfectly sweet and romantic spot, and we loved it!
We also adored this fabulous Rolls Royce that brought them from the ceremony to the reception venue! We just had to grab a couple shots with it, of course! :)
I was also swooning over the reception decor! I love old anything to do with literature, especially wonderful old classics.
And…Sean and Lauren had a rainbow sprinkle theme going on – like their wedding cake!
Not to mention, a coffee bar! Day. Made. Classic literature inspired decor, sprinkle cupcakes, AND a coffee bar? Oh, yes please!
And yes – I photographed this and then savored the most delicious sips. Yum….
And a breakfast for lunch reception, complete with doughnuts! I was way too excited about this. :)
Sean and Lauren’s brothers and sisters surprised them with a handbell concert they secretly prepared for them. What a sweet memory!
Sean’s mom gave Lauren a shawl in the McBane family tartan, welcoming her into their family! These are the moments that I cherish the most. The simple, sweet, absolutely priceless moments that are just a brief second of time – but moments that become beautiful lifelong memories.
Sean and Lauren – we can’t even tell you how honored we are that we could spend this day at your side, capturing these memories with you. Thank you so much for bringing us on this journey with you! We wish you so much happiness in your marriage, and we can’t wait to visit you guys in Texas someday!
*hugs*

What a wonderful pair, so cute!
The wedding was beautiful and the pictures capture the mood very well. Joel and Amber are easy to work with and as you can see are excellent photographers!
Keep up the good work Joel and Amber.
Lovely day all around! Thank you Joel and Amber for being so accommodating to the families and attentive to the details that made the day personal and special for Sean and Lauren!
The photography was fabulous! Not only are all the photos great, but the placement and posing of the posed pictures was great. One of the things I noted was that the candid photos were great, while the photographers were unobtrusive.
All the pictures look fantastic! Those flowers really look awesome against the white dress and even against the kilt. Great job Joel and Amber!!
It was absolutely beautiful!! Love all the pictures by the river!!
Excellent photographic composition. The events of this wedding will be long remembered because of the photographer’s skillful blend of lighting, setting and subject matter to capture the magic of the moment. Even the still-life photos stir the emotions. Some photographers produce snapshots; these are portraits which relive the highlights of the wedding day.
Lauren is the first of my six granddaughters to marry. These pictures will help me to remember the wonderful time I had at her wedding. The beauty of the bride and bridesmaids has been captured in the photos. The color photos are vibrant but even more striking to me is the black and white of Sean and Lauren in the mists. I am glad they chose you as the photographer for this day to be remembered.
Lovely photographs! I was saddened that I was unable to attend the wedding, but these pictures really bring the event to life from those who were unable to be there. I love the shots by the water. I think the background really make the colors stand out. Thank you for sharing these beautiful photographs! Wonderful job!
Everything was very beautiful I enjoyed being there for Sean and Lauren’s wedding. The photos are really great.
Was a very nice wedding. The pictures are awesome!
What an amazing wedding and captured so beautifully! Thanks for sharing such a rich heritage with friends and family on such a wonderful occasion.
Your pictures are beautiful! Seeing them is the next best thing to being there! You have created a beautiful treasury of memories for Lauren and Sean to enjoy for a lifetime! I love the artful compositions of the pearls, lace, and jewelry! Nice touch!
These pictures are great! Really nice to see the different highlights of the day. I enjoyed the close ups of the Scottish heritage details. Sorry we missed the festivities, I’m sure I would have enjoyed the coffee bar!
I feel as though I had been able to attend the wedding through this awesome photography, thank you for sharing.
