October Snapshot!

Our September Snapshot showed why our Instagram feed was filled with palm trees, vanilla lattes, and potato fields. October’s Snapshot snapshot will explain why our feed was sporting 2 or 3 different sneak peek session pictures in our feed every day!

We flew home from Hawaii to help Shannon and Corey celebrate their amazing wedding day (you can find their Blush & Crimson Vineyard wedding feature here!) And as soon as we flipped the calendar to October the following day, our most popular month for engagement sessions and weddings commenced!

Oh, October. Such a wonderful and busy and incredible month in the wedding world!

We welcomed October with our friends at Metropolitan DJ’s VIP event to celebrate the launch of the brand new Metropolitan Mirror! It’s an epic new photo booth concept (think red carpet experience!), and we were super honored to have the chance to grab some shots for them at the event!

And from there, it was session after amazing session with so many INCREDIBLE J&A couples!! Seriously, we can’t get over how blessed we are to get to experience this special season with the sweetest, most talented, and kindest couples.

We started with Sarah & Blake’s downtown Huntsville engagement session. We can’t get enough of these two! Sarah is the talent behind The Glam Girl Report, a fashion and beauty product blog local to Huntsville. She just launched it a few months ago, and we’re super excited to follow along!

Our church does some really fun things in October, and Joel and I headed up the committees for our church’s booth at the Madison Street Festival, as well as a chili supper and DVD conference a week later. It’s actually the first year that we didn’t have a wedding on the Madison Street Festival day, so getting to jump into the actual event, and not just the planning process, was really neat!

P.S. We really, really love our church! Come visit us sometime at Providence Presbyterian Church!

On Monday we drove up to the Smokey Mountains for Kayla & Brandon’s destination engagement session! They’re in Florida and we’re local to Huntsville, so finding a super incredible place for their session was extra fun! We were really sad to have to say goodbye and head back home. They are such a cool couple!

Christina & Dylan’s downtown engagement session later that week was perfect in every way! The weather was perfect, and we DID find some fall leaves to play around with. They are absolutely the cutest couple!! At our first meeting with Christina, we discovered that we both love fairytales, Cinderella, sparkle, and so many other wonderful things. It was instant friendship.

The next day we headed up to a private estate for Alyssa and Wil’s engagement session! They came all the way from Arkansas over their fall break to have their engagement pictures. It was a magical night! This was also the first time we got to meet Wil, and we loved how adorable Alyssa and Wil are together! Not to mention, our session with them included the sun setting over golden cornfields. So many happy feelings!

Anna & Graham’s wedding at First United Methodist Church and Earlyworks Museum is one that we’ve been waiting for! We met them over a year ago at a coffee shop in Florence, and they have been such a huge blessing in our lives ever since. Anna has been a cheerleader and encourager to me ever since we “officially met in real life”. We’re so happy that their amazing day was finally here! They have huge hearts for each other, for people, and for the Lord.

On the day of Maddie & Russell’s engagement session, it finally started feeling like fall! Russell came down from Nashville for their engagement pictures at Hays Nature Preserve, and we had the most amazing time getting to know these two even better! I still can’t believe how quickly that hour flew by – we were having such a blast with them!

We love treating our J&A Couples to J&A Coffee Days a few times a year, and this time we held it at Piper and Leaf. It was more of a J&A Tea Day instead, but it was another fun memory! We loved getting to see so many of our past couples that day! *all the heart eyes*

Lacie’s bridal session at Burritt on the Mountain was Magical with a capital “M”. And Amazing. And Perfect. Seriously, she is such a beautiful bride! She has a natural grace and joy that really comes out in all the pictures! It’s soooo hard not sharing a picture from Lacie’s bridal session after this paragraph!! Since her wedding isn’t until next month, it’s a secret gallery! So until then, I’ll just share a picture from Lacie & David’s destination engagement session in Savannah, GA.

And then came J&A Mini Session Day! Once you’re a J&A Couple, you have access to Forever Sessions and Minis! It brings us soooo much joy to have our J&A Couples and their growing families in front of our cameras again! It’s so special to us, and we especially love getting to see everyone again! <3

The Huntsville Pregnancy Resource Center (Choose Life of North Alabama) is a ministry that we’ve supported for many years, and we spent an afternoon doing some head shots for their newest staff members! Of course, this behind the scenes picture with Anna (the Director of Client and Ministry Support) is one of my favorites. :)

The next day was off to Huntsville Botanical Garden for a gorgeous engagement session with Moriah & Jose! We really love the botanical garden, and celebrating Moriah and Jose’s engagement there was just amazing! It was just a liiiiittle chilly that day, but they were total troopers! We just had such an incredible time hanging out with this sweet couple!!

We headed off to a little lake house in Tennessee to spend a few days with Joel’s family. After a month filled to the brim with sessions, meetings, late nights, early mornings, and everything that happens behind the scenes to make it all happen – it was such a blessing to spend a weekend reconnecting with family and each other.

And take just a couple more Forever Sessions, of course. :)

This month has been a true blessing and a joy with so many incredible memories! We’re so thankful for the couples that God has brought into our lives! Next month will have a few less sessions, more travel, and some super fun business things that we’re really excited about!
