Spring Blue and Sage Wedding at The Glass House Venue // Wedding Photographers in Huntsville, Alabama
There was so much to love about this wedding day! Maggie and Clay chose to celebrate their intimate spring wedding at The Glass House Venue in Skyline, Alabama. It’s about an hour drive from Huntsville, and boy, is it worth the drive. What a beautiful venue with all the bright, white, natural light we could wish for. The April day brought us the joyful sunshine and a March-inspired wind. When we all got to the venue, we weren’t sure how the wind was going to affect the day. God was kind, though, and everything turned out just perfectly.
Maggie and Clay have been going on this journey with us for almost 2 years, starting with a fall mini session. That’s where we first got a glimpse of their sweet and joyful natures, and that joy shone 100% on their wedding day! It truly felt like a day spent with friends and so many intentional, heartfelt moments. There are things I love about a big 250 guest wedding day, but I think these small, intimate days will always have a special place in my heart. Maggie and Clay’s celebration was perfect.
A Few of My Favorite Wedding Details
Definitely the gifts! Their creativity abounds, and it shows in the epic gifts they shared with each other on their wedding day. My two favorites of the day were from Clay – a beautiful monogrammed purse with his wedding letter printed on the material inside and a wooden puzzle with reasons he loves Maggie engraved on each one. Their relationship includes puzzles at all the important moments, and it was the perfect gift.
Exchanging private vows is 100% worth adding into your wedding day timeline. My favorite time to do it is right after the First Look. The memories and reactions are just so special.
The smaller guest count meant there was so much space to enjoy! I love some “breathing room” on the wedding day for guests to mingle, dance, and hang out with each other. It was so remarkable having a spacious reception set up for guests to enjoy.
