The first time we met Marissa and Jared, I remember standing in the kitchen together while Joel was crafting our vanilla lattes. Marissa, Jared, and Joel are all engineers. It only took a few minutes to discover that Joel and Marissa had a lot of the same professors at UAH. It took us all down memory lane!

Genuine joy and laughter.

And what a joy it’s been since then! One of my favorite things about Marissa and Jared are how happy they are around each other. I noticed it first at our coffee date with them. They seem to bring out the sunshine in each other. At their engagement session, Marissa would just light up with giggles when they looked at each other. So we had them look at each other a lot, and their laughter-filled engagement pictures are some of my favorites!

Finally fall!

Marissa and Jared’s wedding day dawned into a gorgeous, sun-filled, cool October Saturday. After some unseasonably hot and humid fall weddings, we were thrilled that Marissa and Jared could have a fall-feeling wedding of their dreams.

The Dream Team

Hampton Cove Wedding Plantation was a perfect venue for enjoying that gorgeous fall weekend! Heather, Carla, and Greg always do a phenomenal job at taking care of everyone there. Bonus: that golf cart to take us everywhere we want to go!

Marissa’s gown from Madison Town and Country was stunning! I loooved shimmering bodice and lace shoulders. She looked like a dream, especially with the fabulous work of Becca and her team at Under the Veil! Marissa is as sweet as can be, and she couldn’t have made a more beautiful bride.

Then there were the bridesmaid dresses! The combination of soft lilac, dusty rose, and wisteria was absolute perfection. Add the pops of gorgeous florals by In Bloom, and we were swooning. These girls were beautiful and so much fun to spend the day with!

Marissa and Jared had a romantic ceremony under a floral arch at the edge of the lake officiated by Pastor Curt Lindsley. Then we headed off for a few sunset portraits while the guests went inside for a fantastic meal catered by Little Rosie’s! I’m still dreaming about their salsa and queso bar. So much yum.

The guests mingled the night away with Music by Mike jamming the music and a scrumptious strawberry/vanilla cake and cookie tower by Publix. What a sweet way to spend the evening! A sparkler send-off later, and this sweet couple was off to start their forever together!
