Wow. That’s the word that kept coming to mind all day long as we photographed Brittany and Austin’s wedding at Burns Bluff at High Falls! Every time we turned around, there was a pop of visual interest, super sweet emotional moment, or jaw-dropping portrait location views. This day just couldn’t have been any dreamier if we tried.

Brittany and Austin are the type of people you just feel immediately drawn to. Kind, thoughtful, a sense of humor, and a true depth of feeling that was an absolute joy to photograph. We had the best time capturing their wedding day! Walking through each aspect of the wedding day with them, we got to see their sweet natures shine again and again!

This was our first time at Burns Bluff at High Falls, and it definitely delivers the wow factor. The soaring steeple of the Charn and stunning views of the ceremony site are perfectly complemented by the portrait opportunities on the bluff. I know I’m side-tracking here, but if you’re a Jane Austen fan and know the scene in the 2005 version where Kiera Knightley is standing on the bluff looking out over the view as she travels with her aunt and uncle Gardiner, you know how my Pride and Prejudice loving heart absolutely swooned this bridal portrait on the bluff. That scene kept popping into my head as we photographed some epic wedding portraits.

Some of My Favorite Wedding Details

Besides the bluff views for portraits, I think my favorite details were actually moments. Brittany had some super sweet moments with her grandma as she got into her dress. Then came a first look with grandpa, and I absolutely love those pictures. I also adore Austin’s reaction as Brittany walked down the aisle. Watching a groom just melt as his bride walks toward him is one of my favorite things. So sweet!

Another thing I loved was all the visual interest incorporated throughout the day. There was so much texture and color in the walls, bluff views, venue features, and pops of color from details added by Brittany and Austin. Even the reception table settings were jaw-dropping and full visual interest. Even between the wood, brick elements, and decor, the colors coordinated really well together. Everything just flowed visually as we walked through the day.

There is so much to love about this wedding, and I can’t wait for you to see it!
