A classy and elegant blue and white wedding at Burritt on the Mountain. That’s the vibe Cassie and Boykin created for their wedding day, and they pulled it off to perfection. The sleek lines of Cassie’s dress, stunning blue and white floral statement pieces, and a view from the overlook that captures attention. Details like personalized water bottles and marquee letters added pops of thoughtfulness throughout the day. Modern simplicity matched with classic elegance.

This spring has been a season of rain. So. much. rain. When Cassie and Boykin’s wedding morning rolled around, we had….rain. We drove through a downpour on our way to the wedding. While I still held out some hope of a break during the day, we made all the backup plans for a rainy Burritt wedding day. Well, God had something fantastically unexpected in store for us! The rain dashed plans for a ceremony out by the View and chased us back under the Pavilion for family portraits, but we had an entire afternoon of portraits in all our favorite out in the wide open places. Cassie especially wanted portraits by the View, and we have a full collection!

A Few of My Favorite Wedding Details

Cassie shared really thoughtful gifts with her parents during her first look with her dad. I wasn’t just tearing up behind the camera, I was straight out weeping. (Good thing I always carry a stash of Kleenex in my bag!) The love this family shares is so vibrant. And then you have Cassie and Boykin. They are the definition of “light up” when they’re together.

Mason Dixon put together a display of beautiful and creative appetizers for the guests to enjoy before dinner. You’ll see a glimpse of those as you scroll through the gallery. They were both scrumptious and delectably stunning to look at! (Future brides, ask for the grits and barbecue shooters. You’re welcome!)

This was one of the most hopping dance floors I can remember. Watching Steve with Metropolitan DJ work a dance floor with a crowd like that is like watching an art form. It’s not exactly a detail, but it was a whole lot of fun!
