I’ll never forget the first time we met Chelsea. It was the wedding day of a dear, sweet couple. Like most wedding days, there’s a lot of hustle that goes on behind the scenes for vendors. As the coordinator and photographers, especially, there’s a lot we have to make happen to keep all the little details running smoothly!

So there we all were, and Chelsea was doing her wedding day magic with a smile on her face. She is seriously one of the kindest, most organized, joyful people we know. Wedding coordination suits her perfectly, and she’s amazing at it! The way she carries herself with so much poise and grace in the midst of all the many wedding day details has made an impact on us at every wedding we’ve worked together.

Needless to say, we’re huge fans of Chelsea and her team at Chelsea Kennedy Events. Over the years, she and Huston (we love you too, Huston!) have become friends of ours. We’ve been so blessed and encouraged to walk this journey of being business owners and navigate the wedding industry together. We’re so thankful for them!

When Chelsea asked if we’d be willing to do a session to celebrate their 10th anniversary, we were so honored!! What a joy! We met them in Tuscumbia one warm July evening. Chelsea shared the idea to take some pictures at the church she and Huston were married in. That was a definite yes!

After spending some time near the church, we wandered down the street toward a beautiful historic house with beautifully shaded grounds. Partway through our session, the trolley guy stopped next to us and offered his trolley for our shoot. What a sweet guy! Chelsea and Huston’s precious little boy joined them for several family pictures. That was so special! What a legacy of love filling those 10 years.

Fun fact: Joel and I are celebrating our 10th anniversary later this summer. It’s a fun life event to share with friends like Chelsea and Huston!
