Kathryn and Drew are married!! Their spectacular Burritt on the Mountain wedding celebration still has us smiling! First of all, it was one of those days forecasted for a signifcant amount of rain. We drove up the mountain in a mid-day downpour, ready to face a rainy wedding day. The skies cleared up, things dried out, and God gifted us with a gorgeous summer day! And when you head into the day expecting rain and have beautiful weather instead, you appreciate every ray of sunshine so much! Bonus – we had just enough cloud cover to have soft light on The View in the middle of the day, which is another gift in itself.
It was obvious that Kathryn and Drew are well loved by so many, and we can totally see why! They’re such a joy to be around. I love how their faces light up around each other! You can see the happiness in their hearts shining through their eyes. Their bridal party was super fun and kept us laughing, and their families were so kind. What a great group of people!
A Few of My Favorite Wedding Details
I seriously loved the color palette Kathryn and Drew chose for their wedding. The warm tones of the pinks, peaches, soft greens, and creams in the flowers, dresses, and decor perfectly complemented the overall look of the room. There was something about it that just tied it all together so well, and the florist and I decided it was how perfectly the colors worked in the venue space, both indoors and out.
The custom sunglasses were so perfect!! The summer sun can be a little bright as you’re facing the view, and the sunglasses made such a thoughtful wedding favor for their guests.
Suzy’s Pops for cocktail hour! I loved this! It worked so perfectly at Burritt because guests walked up from the view, grabbed a popsicle from the cart, and enjoyed the view until dinner was called.
There was so much to love about this wedding, and I can’t wait to give you a peek!
