The Dickens of a Christmas in Franklin, TN. It’s been on our bucket list since we moved to Huntsville, and this year we finally decided to set aside some time to experience it for ourselves!
Armed with cups of tea, we took off early one Saturday morning for the trek up to Franklin. The weather was a balmy 60-something – not Christmasy, but perfectly fine with us.
There were vendors setup as far as the eye could see, with anything from peanut butter truffles to goat milk soap and hand carved cutting boards. Fudge samples, colorful scarves, and more tempting food stands than you could count.
I was so excited to try a bag of roasted chestnuts. It just sounded so Christmasy!
After we’d had enough of the crowds, we headed over to this placed called The Factory at Franklin to scout out a new coffee shop. We’re working on some big projects for the new year and wanted a relaxing, inspiring, and delicious place to spend a productive afternoon. If you follow us on Instagram (which you should! @joelandamber), you know that we love to travel the country to find some of the best local coffee shops. Honest Coffee Roasters made our JAFavorites list!
We sort of raised our eyebrows at paying $5 for a doughnut from Five Daughters Bakery, but let me tell you. That. Doughnut. Was. Good. 100 layers of fluffy deliciousness. Well worth that $5 splurge!
Sometimes taking a little bit of time to just get out and enjoy life is so important.
From our family to yours, we hope that your Christmas is filled with the joy that comes from celebrating our Savior’s birth!
*hugs*
