We’ve been tiptoeing past the most extreme heat with most of our sessions this summer, but this July wedding at the ever-beautiful Burritt on the Mountain was one of the hottest wedding days I can remember. After just a few minutes outside, you can almost feel everyone starting to melt. Lots of A/C breaks, water stashed, strategic planning, and handheld fans got us through the most intense heat of the day.
Not that you would know it by looking at Larissa, Joe, and their wedding party. They were all total troopers and braved the scorching sun with smiles on their faces! We got the best of both worlds for Larissa and Joe’s wedding day. All the gorgeous views and backdrops of Burritt, followed by a fantastically air-conditioned ceremony at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Then we were back to dance under the stars on The View once the sun went down and everything cooled off.
If you remember the dreaminess of Larissa and Joe’s engagement session at Dublin Park earlier this year, you won’t be surprised to see how adorable these two are on their wedding day. I don’t know how we keep getting the best couples ever, but I’m here for it!
Larissa and Joe’s puppy dogs had some cameo moments scattered on the wedding day. Peep them at the reception! I always love those unique little details that give the wedding a personal touch.
Larissa’s dress is a favorite detail! She customized some of the details on her dress, and it perfectly suited her. The neckline appliqué detail was so pretty. Everything shimmered, especially in the summer sunlight.
This isn’t exactly a detail, but we had two other J&A Couples at the wedding – be still my heart! We adore our couples and it’s the best ever when they’re friends.
A reception under the stars overlooking the city lights. The perfect ending to a beautiful wedding day.
Larissa & Joe – what a gift to capture the memories as you celebrated your wedding together! You have been such a joy from start to finish, and we’re thrilled you two found each other. Best wishes for a beautiful life together!
*hugs*
