Winter Wedding at The Venue at Birchwood Spring Hill TN // Wedding Photographers in Huntsville, Alabama

You never know what a February afternoon will throw your way, but Sarah and Jackson’s wedding at The Venue at Birchwood in Spring Hill gave us all the beautiful winter wedding touches we could ask for. Just chilly enough to represent February, but warm enough that even I (iykyk) forgot to put on my jacket. Treating their guests to a Just Love hot chocolate and coffee bar is exactly what a February wedding needs. And it was perfect.

Sarah’s dream venue for her wedding was a white chapel and a barn-style reception space – a nod to her childhood love of horses. This was our first time photographing a wedding at The Venue at Birchwood, and I instantly saw why it was completely perfect for these two! I loved the warm brown pews nestled inside a white chapel with countryside views. The reception space had a fantastic balcony for unique reception views, which is something I really get excited about.

Something else I get excited about is the way Sarah and Jackson love on each other. They are so. cute! together and each clearly adores the other. Their first look and private vows had me tearing up a little bit behind the quiet smiles, and the quiet behind the scenes moments when I got to capture just the two of them without any fanfare was really special.

A Few of My Favorite Details

The hot chocolate was so good! Joel had a cup sitting out by our gear and I casually took a sip, expecting fairly normal hot chocolate. I went scurrying off for my own. Yummy. And who doesn’t love a taco bar with those thin, hot, crispy chips?

Sarah and Jackson honored his mom and her grandpa in some special ways, wearing their pictures in pins and having a special spot for his mom’s picture in a front row seat for the ceremony. Weddings are a time when you really miss the important people in your life, and it can be such a reflective time.

There’s a lot to love about this sweet wedding day. I could go on, but I’ll just show you the pictures!
