Fall Family Mini Sessions in Downtown Huntsville // Family Photographers in Huntsville, Alabama

So much amazing color!!! We are asked often if we ever do family sessions – the answer is yes! Our primary focus is weddings, but we enjoy splashing our schedule with a few fun family sessions throughout the year. Of course, most of them land during the fall when leaves are beautiful and Christmas card season is quickly approaching. We take on a few individual family sessions as our wedding schedule allows (you can find all kinds of great info here!). And our favorite – fall mini sessions!

We usually open up 2 mini session dates each fall for our past J&A Couples and their families. This year, our 2 original downtown mini session dates were completely booked up within a few hours. Our schedule allowed us to open up 1 additional mini session date, so we enjoyed being able to capture 28 families this fall for minis! Ironically, our bonus mini session date was rained out and our last set of families were scattered throughout our schedule. It all worked out really nicely in the end, and we’re so thankful to have had the experience of so many amazing families coming out for minis!

The color around the historic downtown neighborhoods was spectacular. The leaves changed color earlier this year than we typically expect, but it worked in our favor! I thought our first session date would be really stretching to find color. Both our October dates and the final November make-up dates were full of warm, rich, fall leaf color – it was beautiful and SO fun!
