Introducing #jacoffeeadventures! Our Continuous Journey to Find the Perfect Lattes of the World.

If you’ve been following us on any of our social media outlets, you know that we love coffee. If you know us really well, you’ll be smirking a little bit and saying, “Yep. Totally figured that one out.”

We love the smell, the taste, the culture, the inspiration. I think our most brilliant business ideas have come from our coffee shop meetings. If I really need to sit down and focus, my laptop and I find a comfy couch in the corner of one of our favorite coffee shops. It just works for us.

We really love the lattes. And mochas. Espresso, steamed milk, and delicious flavor swirled in.

I can love on a pure, unaltered cup of black coffee. Now Joel, not so much. He always says he’s only half Dutch – so he needs his coffee half black and half cream. (It’s traditionally Dutch to drink it black, in case you were wondering!)

With all the crazy traveling we’ve been doing this spring, we’ve taken our hobby on the road. We search for out of the way, locally owned, character filled coffee shops along our route. We’re searching for the perfect coffee of the world.

Not everyone does it right. The technique needs to be impeccable – from the grind and the tamp, to the crema and steam. We love the adventure. And we’ve found some pretty amazing coffee on the way.

With all of the coffee pictures we post in our J&A Instagram account (follow us here for fabulous J&A adventures: @joelandamber), we decided to create an official hashtag.

Introducing: #jacoffeeadventures.

As we search out locally owned, full of character, perfect shot coffee shops, we’ll share our adventures. We might even make you drool with the insanely delicious doughnuts and scones we grab on the side.

And to those of you who ask, yes! We do have a favorite Huntsville coffee shop. We love both Grounded Coffee and Southbrew Coffee. So amazing. One time, Grounded made me a latte with Piper and Leaf’s Old Fashioned Birthday Cake tea. And the Chocolate Chip Pancake Lattes at Southbrew? Yum!!

You can’t get much better than that! :)
